Welcome to ROAR !

Reaching Older Adults in Renfrewshire (ROAR) is a consortium of voluntary sector service providers working together to design and deliver low level services for older adults. The delivery model for the services is a Public Social Partnership (PSP).

ROAR provides a range of services which are coordinated by ROAR staff and

delivered by volunteers including:

One to one befriending at home or in the community as well as specialist befriending for older adults with a dementia diagnosis;

Transport Services to and from doctors/hospital appointments;

ROAR Health & Wellbeing Clubs where members enjoy a healthy two course lunch along with a varied social activity and health and wellbeing programme.

Shopping service for elderly people unable to shop for themselves.

A Pilot Shopping Service has now started

We are now piloting a shopping service in Renfrewshire for older

adults who may be isolated

or unable to get to the shops themselves.

The service will be coordinated by ROAR and delivered by volunteers. As we still want to make sure that the service will meet the needs of as many people as possible who would benefit from some help with shopping, we would like to hear what you think would be helpful for you or for someone you know.
